Recycling
Believe it or not, your old textiles, bras, mobile phones and printer cartridges can earn us some money!
The ‘Keep It Up’ campaign are working with our recycling partners, ‘Bag it Up’, and we will receive an agreed percentage of the sale of the recycled materials generated within the Huddersfield area. It really is as simple as that!
Here’s how you can help:

Good quality items which can be reused are sold to second-hand clothing traders in the UK and worldwide. ‘End of life’ garments are recycled into industrial wipers and cloths, mattress filling, insulation and new fibres.

Mobile Phones
Freepost envelopes are available from the YAA charity office or from our partners ‘Bag it Up’ – please call 0870 321 5505 to have one sent out to you.
If you are planning to collect more than 20 mobile phones, call 0870 321 5505 and ‘Bag it Up’ can arrange to have a mobile phone bin delivered to you.
Please do not put your charger in the envelope as it will make it too heavy to get to ‘Bag it Up’.
Bras
Our recycled bras are sent out to West Africa where the demand for quality used bras is much greater.
However we need a minimum of 200,000 bras before we can send our first batch! So far we have collected over 129,000 bras, but need help to push us to our target.
Collecting 200,000 will guarantee an income to the charity of at least £10,000.
If you have a few unwanted bras at home, please post them to:‘Keep It Up’ Campaign
