TOG 24 SUPPORT ‘DEAN & SEAN’S BIKE RIDE’
Huddersfield Town Chairman Dean Hoyle’s bike ride to the Club’s first away game of the 2009/10 season in aid of the Keep It Up campaign gained further momentum this morning with the announcement that national outdoor clothing firm Tog 24 will support the cause.
Town’s matchday announcer Paul Ramsden is Northern Regional manager for the Yorkshire based firm and will join Hoyle and Commercial Director Sean Jarvis on the cycling trip to Town’s first away game of the season.
Tog 24 are best known for their outdoor and ski clothing, but their new summer range includes a cycling collection and they will donate items to the trio as they aim to raise money to support the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the Huddersfield Town Academy by pedalling their way to Town’s first away fixture.
Sean and Paul are pictured in front of the Huddersfield Kingsgate branch of Tog 24 looking at potential routes to the journeys they could be making; they will find out their fate when Town’s first team fixtures are released at 10am on Wednesday June 17th!
Announcer Ramsden today explained why he had decided to join Dean and Sean on their epic journey:
“We here at Tog 24 approached the Club about getting involved in this very worthy cause and we are thrilled that we can support such it by donating clothing. I am lucky enough to be involved with the Club in my capacity as matchday announcer and I know how important the Keep It Up campaign is – Yorkshire Air Ambulance is a fantastic charity and I hope we can raise a large amount of money for them.
“I was gutted that I couldn’t play in the recent Centenary Matchday as I had to perform my usual duties, but those people who came to see the game will be aware of the fitness levels that Sean and Dean showed and as such I hope that we do draw Yeovil or Exeter away on the first day of the season! If we do, I am sure they can meet me there!”
